Ing. Barbora Tachecí

Ing. Barbora Tachecí, the jury and patron of the III. Year of the „Czech Businesswomen Award - OCP“ competition.  She graduated from the University of Economics in Prague – the Department of Finance.  Further, she finished various international studies, for an example in BBC (1991) or in the electronic communication media in the USA (New York, Washington 1993). After a long-term working experience in the Czech Broadcast, where she had worked as an expert editor and moderator,  she  started working as a directress of the Communication Department at the Investiční a Poštovní banka (Investment and Postal bank), until its end in 2000. Since 2002 she has been working once again in media – first as a directress of the full-area broadcasting radio station Frekvence 1, then as a directress of the broadcasting public service station Radiožurnál, in 2008 as a moderator of the news Z1 TV debate programs, and currently conducts the news broadcast at TV Prima „Fakta“ („Facts“).

The personal decision to accept the participation in the jury:  

„It´s been a couple of years since I graduated from the field close to any business undertaking, the finance.  And therefore I still feel a bit of an economist. What is more, I admire all of those who have gotten rid of their employer´s protective shield and risked their skin – jeopardized their name, their properties, their comfort and decided to fight for their vision many times with the risk of losing everything.  I salute their courage. And if those courageous and successful are women, then it only confirmes my theory: nobody in the world does anything better than our men. Perhaps except for women.“
